Beautiful Resolutions for 2024
You may have already organized your closet for 2024, but what about your beauty routine? What beauty resolutions to make for the new year? Given that it’s something you do day in and day out, it’s worth taking some time to revisit it and see what works and what doesn’t.
Now is the time to evaluate if your old favorites are working for you or if you need to look for other products to meet your current beauty needs. I know that beauty can get expensive, so it pays to hone it down to the essentials that are truly value for money. Here are the key areas that I think are worth prioritizing.
Regularly detox with beauty products
This is absolutely non-negotiable. I know it’s hard to give up anything in your beauty stash (especially when it’s beautifully packaged), but makeup and skincare products have expiration dates for a reason. Often, after a period of time, the efficacy of an ingredient or the quality of a product is compromised. If you want to make sure it’s working, it’s best to use the product as early as possible rather than saving them and then risking spoilage.
Get professional advice
I always pick up some great tips and learn new things about my skin, makeup and skincare regimen whenever I work with a beauty professional, so I think it’s worth getting a consultation to see if your current routine is right for your skin and beauty needs. Whether it’s a makeup consultation or a skincare assessment, there may often be new products or techniques that are suitable for your requirements and this is a great way to find out about them.
Prioritize your skin
I’m a firm believer that all beauty begins with a giant blank canvas: your skin. A good complexion ensures that your makeup looks perfect and beautiful. So if you’re going to invest in anything this year, make sure beauty products and treatments benefit the health of your skin.
Push your beauty boundaries
It’s easy to fall into beauty habits by doing the same things day in and day out, but it’s a good idea to change things up once in a while, and a brand new year is a great time to do so. Whether it’s changing your hairstyle, wearing bolder colors or just trying new beauty treatments, I think it’s always good to update your beauty habits.
